After 5 years (2011) since inception, this website attracts over 5,000 visitors each day with over 360K pageviews per month. This is pretty good considering the fact that the site was nearly on autopilot for 4 years While I was running an ecommerce business. I was able to achieve over $2.5M per year in sales from ecommerce businesses, but couldn't profit a dime due to fierce price competition from Amazon, Walmart and Target. I can probably write a book about ecommerce, search engine marketing, and related topics, but rather I will write articles on this website to help new entrepreneurs with such topics. Although painful, I had to put ecommerce businesses aside to free my time to do something different. While running multiple ecommerce websites, I come to realize that it's not how much you sell but the trick is how you build traffic and increase conversions without spending tens of thousands of dollars in Adwords, Comparison Shopping Engines, and other PPC advertisements. It brings me back to building affiliate websites, weblogs, and community portals to provide useful contents to Internet users.
